Annie & Rod Capps Toledo Concert reviews
Show was low energy and mostly forgettable
I saw Annie & Rod Capps for a rocking show. The show I saw on April 25 was, for the most part, forgettable, low energy, and boring. His new songs from the River album were uninspiring and depressing. He did several slow songs which I struggled to stay awake for. It wasn't until the last 1/2 hour or so that he played some of his old songs such as Badlands, Thunder Road, and Born to Run, showing some of his old rocking self. In past shows, we would stand for most of the show because the music demanded it. I sat through most of his last show. I think he is getting old and can't keep up the pace of a rocking 3-hour show. I won't go see him again unless his show focuses on his older music.
